How we make money

DentalCosts is free for patients. Dental practices pay a flat £20 for each enquiry a patient chooses to send them.

What practices pay for

• A flat fee per enquiry, whatever the treatment and whatever happens next. We never take a share of treatment fees and never charge per patient treated.
• Credits are bought in advance in packs of 10. A practice that claims its listing gets 3 enquiries free.
• A practice can ask for a credit back within 7 days if an enquiry is fake, a duplicate, more than 25 miles away or for a treatment it does not offer.

What practices cannot pay for

• Their place in a list. Lists are in price order or name order, never by who pays.
• Their prices. We show what the practice publishes or confirms, with the date.
• Removing another practice, or hiding a price.

Every practice in Greater London has a page, whether it pays or not. Practices that do not take enquiries show their phone number and website instead.
