Who pays nothing

Some people get NHS dental treatment free, for example those under 18, under 19 in full-time education, pregnant or with a baby under 12 months, and people on some benefits. The NHS lists everyone who qualifies on its help with dental costs page.

If you need more treatment within 2 months

Further treatment in the same band or a lower one within 2 months costs nothing extra. Treatment in a higher band costs the higher band charge.
